By: Alan Ng | December 8, 2009 | Leave a CommentJust in case you were thinking that Twitter was only a place for social fanatics to keep busy on the go, think again. It has been reported that Dell has managed to make $6.5 million profit within two years, thanks to some clever business models they put in place.
As reported from BGR, it seems as if Dell know a good business opportunity when they see one, as they have been running special sales for their products exclusively through Twitter.
How did they manage this you ask? Well BGR states that Dell has 100 employees tweeting in 35 different channels, spreading to customers in over 12 countries.
One country in particular is Brazil, with Twitter users over there splashing out $800,000 on Dell’s special sales in the last eight months. Let us know what you think of this, have you taken advantage of one of Dell’s Twitter deals?
