Google Real Time Search: Updates from Twitter and Facebook
By: Peter Chubb | December 8, 2009 | 1 CommentGoogle have been very busy these past few days, not only have they launched Google Goggles, which we mentioned in a recent post but also Real Time Search as well. This new features gets updated at the same rate that it receives it from Facebook and Twitter, the results will appear at the bottom of the search page.
The results shown are up to the second on more than a billion pages, and you will see the results changing before your eyes in real time. If you do not want to see the page constantly scrolling as new updates come in, then all you need to do is select Stop Updating.
This new feature is shown within the normal Google search results and will soon be coming to the iPhone and other smartphones. This will certainly be a benefit to the user, I have often waited for updates on cricket scores, only to find that a number of the sports sites were slow to update their pages.
Google is not showing any signs of slowing down, as Bing begins to make headway in closing the gap, Google launches two great new tools to show how much of a hold they have on the market.
Why not try out the new real time search and let us know what you think. For more information, visit www.dailymail.co.uk
