Games for Windows Vs Steam: Games-on-Demand service coming
By: Alan Ng | December 7, 2009 | Leave a CommentGood news for regular users of Microsoft’s Games for Windows service now, as the company has announced that they plan to add a ‘games-on-demand’ section to the service, similar to that seen on the Xbox 360.
As reported from Pocket-Lint, this now means of course, that Games for Windows will now go head-to-head with Valve’s established Steam platform, as they already offer a vast collection of titles available via the ‘on-demand’ route.
Confirmed launch titles for Microsoft’s service include Resident Evil 5, Red Faction: Guerrilla, Battlestations Pacific and World of Goo.
It is expected sometime in the early part of next year, we’ll keep you updated when we hear more details on this. Full report through the link.
