Intel Core i9 processor: Available on eBay Prior to Launch

It seems that if you want something prior to its official launch these days you should check out eBay, this is now the case with Intel’s Core i9 processor.

Currently the Core i9 chip is listed on eBay for $1,200.00, the seller is not offering returns on this product, however says it has been tested and is “100% working”.

This chip features 6 2.4 GHz cores along with a 12MB L3 cache, the chips full name is the Intel 6-Core Xeon Westmere Gulftown 2.4GHZ LGA1366 ES Processor.

The processor requires a motherboard with a 1366 socket, there are said to be single and dual processor boards which will accept these chips, for more information check out SlashGear or the eBay listing.
