Modern Warfare 2 Javelin Glitch: Users will be banned if caught – Microsoft
By: Alan Ng | December 3, 2009 | 16 CommentsIt has been reported that Microsoft will hand out suspensions on Xbox Live for any user caught using the now infamous Javelin Glitch, as seen doing the rounds recently on Modern Warfare 2.
As reported from Eurogamer, Stephen Toulouse from Xbox Live has confirmed that exploiters will be issued a 24 hour ban, but it could be extended to 2 weeks for constant use. Just to let you know, the glitch also works on the PS3 version of the game too.
If you haven’t heard of the glitch already, the video below shows you all you need to know – basically it allows you to equip your Javelin in a dodgy way, making yourself a human suicide bomber, killing everyone (even teammates if friendly fire is on) in your area.
The good news is that IW are aware of the problem and are working on a fix at the moment. They’ll probably have it ready by the time the first major Title Update goes live.
Have you seen the glitch in action? We havent, so let us know your thoughts on it.
