Gears of War on PS3: Release is not coming any time soon – Cliffy.B

Some slightly disappointing news for PS3 owners now, as Cliffy.B – design director for the Gears Of War series on the Xbox 360, has stated that a Playstation 3 version of the game is ‘not coming any time soon’.

As reported from VG Arabia, Cliff was responding to recent speculation that the next title could go mulitplatform, as Microsoft’s stranglehold on the franchise had ended, but it looks as if that doesnt appear to be the case.

Key words from his statement include: “Honestly there’s really no plans for any Gears on PS3 any time soon, which I can confirm”.

What do you make of his comments? He didn’t dismiss the idea completely, so PS3 owners can still hold onto that glimmer of hope, maybe.

    This story makes me laugh i have to say, i personally have a ps3 & 360, I love them both in different ways. When ps3 fans go on to say that the ps3 is so much better than the 360 but we want your exclusive games on the ps3 shorely that proves that both consoles are on a par with each other, each console has it pro’s and con’s. But if your so keen for GOW get a 360 as well. If it’s that good you’ll buy a 360 just like you’ll buy a ps3 to play GRAN TURISMO or Drakes unchartered.

    i got both consoles aswell my ps3 has been took out the box for 2 weeks just for the internet coz my pc was down and now its back in the box im 360 all over it just feels smother and easy to use…. it does my head in that metal gear isnt on 360 but hey thats what the console wars are for they make and we gotta buy em epic aint gonna put it on ps anyway there too busy making GOW 3 for the 360 had to get that in………………PEACE
