By: Alan Ng | December 3, 2009
Remember all the recent 3D TV – related news from Sony that we told you about recently? Well we’ve got more juicy news to reveal, as Sony has confirmed that they will be offering up to 25 games in 3D for the upcoming 2010 Fifa World Cup in South Africa.
As reported from Pocket-Lint, Sony has struck a deal with FIFA to allow them to film matches using their brand new 3D-capable cameras. No specific details have been released as to how this would affect viewers at home, but it is an exciting prospect nevertheless.
Eager to pick up a 3D TV set after hearing this news? Don’t worry, I think we want a few as well now. Sony are expected to release a collection of 3D-capable products in 2010, now presumably before the World Cup kicks off. Other than TVs, expect Blu-Ray players,VAIO laptops and of course, the Playstation 3 console.
Let us know your thoughts on this. Will you be picking up a 3D TV set once they are released?
