I-O Data BRP-US6: Slim External Blu-ray Burner

I-O Data have recently unveiled their latest external optical drive, this drive has the ability to read and write to Blu-ray discs, DVD’s and CD’s.

This drive is called the I-O Data BRP-US6, the drive connects via USB 2.0 and has an extremely slim and small form factor (137mm x 154mm x 20mm).

The drive is able to burn Blu-ray discs at a maximum of 2x, DVD’s at a maximum of 8x. It is thought that the drive will read BD-ROM discs at 6x.

The drive will launch later this month in Japan for just shy of 30,000 Yen, this roughly equates to around $340, for more details check out SlipperyBrick.
