
Thanksgiving Sales: Sony and Nintendo boast figures, Microsoft keep quiet
By: Alan Ng | December 1, 2009 | Leave a CommentFollowing all the hardware sales that occured during the Thanksgiving weekend, mainly Black Friday, both Sony and Nintendo have already issued figures on units sold, while Microsoft are yet to confirm their figures yet.
As reported from Eurogamer, Nintendo were on top as between November 22nd-28th, the company managed to shift 550,000 Wiis in North America alone, while the Nintendo DS handheld sold a staggering 1 million units in North America too.
As for the Playstation 3, Sony managed to shift 440,000 units during that same period, prompting Patrick Seybold to state that the holiday season is going to be ‘defined by Playstation’.
Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg revealed on his Twitter account that the Xbox 360′s Thanksgiving sales were the best yet, but the company are yet to reveal any solid figures.
