I am currently running Office Professional Plus 2010 Beta. This is by far the best office yet. Word, Access, and Excel have many upgrades. The only bad part about it is it runs somewhat slow on Windows XP SP3. I am looking to buy Windows 7, and can’t wait until Microsoft completes the final tweaking and releases Office 2010 to the public in June 2010.

I cannot understand why they refuse to offer an alternative user interface that brings back the menus that were in versions prior to 2007. Like tens of millions of others, I learned Office on earlier versions, and I’m proficient at using keyboard shortcuts. The Ribbon thing is fine for someone who’s just learning, but it offers no enhance functionality to someone like me. In fact, it makes me less productive because now I have to search for things I used to instinctively know where to find. Microsoft is the most arrogant company I’ve ever encountered. I won’t buy Office 2010. I’ll use Open Office if I buy another computer and need productivity software.

He has a valid point that is a major frustration for many of my clients, you are the are the crybaby. The more you need to figure out before you can actually work, the less work you do. That affects the bottom line.

Downloaded the beta version last night-so far I am finding it a little confusing then the 2007 version, now that being said after using it for a little bit I am finding the new interface and layout interesting. And waiting for the final version for this June.
