
Microsoft ‘Black screen of death’: Has it happened to you?
By: Alan Ng | December 1, 2009 | 6 CommentsIt has been reported that Microsoft are currently investigating continued claims that the recent security update to their Windows software is causing user’s computer screens to fade to black.
As reported from Computer World, the issue has been dubbed the ‘Black screen of death’ and occurs when installed software doesnt run properly, prompting a system crash and resulting in the ever-lasting black screen.
Microsoft is aware of the problem and has issued a statement saying: “Once we complete our investigation, we will provide detailed guidance on how to prevent or address these issues.”
At the moment, we don’t know how many users have been affected by the issue, but it looks like it is pretty widespead.
