Spotify release on PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii – New rumors
By: Alan Ng | November 30, 2009 | 7 CommentsSome potentially exciting news to give you now, as it has been rumored that Spotify will be making its debut on next-gen consoles in the future, thanks to a anonymous tipoff from a Spotify insider.
As reported from VG247, the insider has stated that the Spotify team has been working on the service for consoles ‘for some time’ and that we can expect to see it on next-gen consoles such as the Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintendo Wii soon.
It makes sense to us that this will eventually happen, considering the successful launch on the iPhone, along with the recent launch of the Spotify Symbian app.
While this is still a rumor, personally speaking, I can see this coming to the PS3 for sure. As you may know, the Xbox 360 has just gained support for Last.FM which is a similar feature – so perhaps Spotify may end up being the PS3 alternative.
