Spawn HD-720: Compatible with Xbox 360, PS3, Gamecube, and more
By: Peter Chubb | November 29, 2009 | 1 CommentWe came across this piece of news about the future of gaming, which was to do with a games console called the Spawn HD-720. With gaming consoles today we are tied to just one format, Xbox 360, PS3 or Wii, but how cool would it be to have a system that could play them all?
This is something that the likes of Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony would hate but a feature that would be welcomed by users. This system allows you to load and store all game formats into one place, so you would not have to bother about putting a disc in, to keep playing the games.
The system is very easy to work, you just choose the system that you wish to play on and then feed the audio and video content into the Spawn system. The games that are compatible include the Xbox and Xbox 360, PS3 and PS2 and finally GameCube. Sadly there is no support for the Wii yet, but that will come. All you then have to do is sync the consoles together so they work simultaneously.
The next step is loading up the Spawn software on your PC; this will then give you access to your console. You can then remotely boot your chosen console and have full access to all of its features.
I am a little disappointed as I thought for one moment that we was going to get an all-in-one console, very misleading. Read the full details of how the Spawn HD-720 works at Joystiq.
