Cyber Monday 2009 deals, noted shopping day draws near
By: Peter Chubb | November 29, 2009 | Leave a CommentThe normal shopping weekend normally comes to an end today, but this weekend is different as it has taken in Black Friday, Saturday sales and tomorrow’s Cyber Monday 2009. Retailers have already reported good sales this Black Friday and online merchants are now gearing up for even greater results.
Black Friday has been a big deal this year, but there are rumors that Cyber Monday this year could be even better. This is the last chance that shoppers will get themselves a bargain before Christmas, so you had better get a hurry on.
According to CNN Money, Cyber Monday has a lot to live up too, as retailers confirmed sales of $10.66 billion on Friday, that is an increase of 0.5% from 2008. This does not seem that good, but many assumed that sales would be down considering the recession that we are fighting our way out off.
Internet sales were better than ever for Black Friday 2009, which is why there are great expectations for Cyber Monday on November 30. According to CNN Money, the average online order was $170.19, that an increase of 35% over last year’s results.
Shoppers seem to know what they want as they do not seem to be browsing as much this year, they know what they want and just go to the online stores to purchase that item. See Cyber Monday Deals.
