Cyber Monday 2009, new round of dirt-cheap deals

Buzz This

Well Black Friday is well and truly out of the way, if you did not get a chance to grab the bargains that you had hoped then you have two chances left, the Saturday sales and Cyber Monday. The former still allows you to go to the stores to get your After-Black Friday deals but the latter you can do from the comfort of your own home.

Many people often wonder what is the difference with each of these special days, well apart from one is in-store and the other online, Black Friday came first and was always the first Friday after Thanksgiving however, BF has now changed in to a month long affair.

We are not certain how long Cyber Monday will be around for as Black Friday has also moved online, most retailers had hundreds of their deals available online. Amazon who does not have any bricks and mortar stores shows how much of a success you can have being Internet based, offering sales on all three days.

As Cyber Monday fast approaches you need to be wary of a few things, the first being spam emails. There is a strong chance that you will receive a ton of spam emails claiming great deals, best put them straight in the trash folder.

PC World has a few tips that you should follow in order to get yourself some great bargains on Cyber Monday. The first is always visit sites such as dealnews.com and GottaDeal.com; they always keep a close eye on the hottest deals taking some of the load off you.

PC World also advices to visit some comparison shopping sites just to see if you are getting as good of a deal as they say. The best bit of advice is, do not rush if you cannot find a bargain, there will be plenty more before the run-up to Christmas.

If you have any more tips, then please let our readers know.

I’m loving Cyber Monday, getting all my Christmas shopping out the way. Some of the great things I got were not actually on special but they were such good deals that I bought them anyway like the Straight Talk prepaid cell phone which comes with an unlimited everything package for $45/month on Verizon’s network nationwide.
