Zhu Zhu pets, an apt metaphor for our troubled times

Black Friday is already stressful enough and now more stress has been added because of these stupid electronic Zhu Zhu Pet Hamster’s. Thousands of kids will be hounding their parents for one of these toys for Christmas, and most parents will do all they can to please their offspring.

Today will be more manic than ever, the reason for this is because these toys have been out of stock everywhere, but we recently reported that Toys R Us just got a new shipment in. In an article over on the Chicago Tribune, they point out that it will not be long before this must have toy will be thrown away, much like the Woody character in Toy Story.

The writer of the article certainly has the hates for these Zhu Zhu pets, saying that they are an “evil robotic hamster”, that does seem a bit harsh. Like all toys they have their own catchy slogan, there’s is “All the love, without the mess.”

This means that you can have yourself a furry pet but none of the responsibility that comes with it. The writer of the article certainly has something to say on that, “Zhu Zhu is an apt metaphor for our troubled times.”

Do you agree with what he has to say, or do you think that it is a bit over the top?
