Tekken 6: Sony PSP Full Review
By: Peter Chubb | November 27, 2009 | 2 CommentsThe past few months have been great for fighting game fans, not only have they been enjoying the release of BlazBlue, Soulcalibur IV and Street Fighter IV, they will now get to enjoy Tekken 6 as it has just been released on the Sony PSP. The game is very much like the games console version, although a few modes had to be removed.
IGN thought that they would offer fans of the franchise a review of the game, and it looks to be a positive review. For those tournament-level players, IGN explains that you will not need to learn much in the way of controls, as it is very much like the main console version, requiring the use of just four buttons.
If you have never played a Tekkan game before, then do not worry, as it is one of those games that you can pick up and get into right away. However, in order for you to progress through the game, there are a number of complex moves that you need to master.
IGN picks up on one bad point on this ported game; the PSP version lacks the “story-driven Campaign Scenario mode”. This is not a huge problem, but it had to be pointed out.
IGN concludes that Tekkan 6 can be played by beginners who just want to mash around with the buttons, but there is a skill that you will need to master. The gameplay in Tekkan6 is more refined than ever, and the massive roster makes this a game very hard to put down.
