By: Jamie Pert | November 27, 2009 | 11 Comments

Recently whilst sifting through the hundreds of Black Friday deals offered by WalMart I noticed a pretty impressive deal for a Kodak digital camera.

This camera is the Kodak EasyShare CD82, it features a 12 megapixel sensor and a 3x optical zoom lens, other specs worth mentioning include the memory card slot which supports both SD and SDHC memory cards. The camera also offers smart capture, face detection and blur reduction.

Currently the camera is available for $69.00, there are also optional extras which include a 4GB SDHC memory card ($8), a Kodak digital camera case kit ($10), a Giinii 8″ digital photo frame or a Digipower TP-S032 mini tripod ($8).

If you would like to find out more about the camera and perhaps purchase it check out WalMart’s website.

I noticed this as well and after much debating and checking of sales at other stores as well I finally decided to get it and I must say it is simply amazing. The best picture I have ever gotten for a camera (including my friends 400$ nikon). I am very pleased I went with this one.

I also had some internal debating over purchasing this. I finally gave in and think that the camera is fabulous. It takes Beautiful pictures and it better than any other camera that I have owned! Love it! 4 stars!

I recieved this camera for Christmas and its an awesome camera. Takes some of the best pictures i have ever gotten from a camera. The only thing is, you have to manually put the date stamp on every singel picture, there is no way (that we can find) to have it automatically put it on the picture when you take it. But in all, it is a very good camera, great picture quality and an excellent price!!

The Camera is a very good deal. Takes very nice pictures. But don’t bother with the so called easy and fun to use software. It’s useless.. This is my conversation with Kodak easy share software support.
“(12:03:24 PM): Your easy and fun software. There are 2 buttons to upload video from the kodak easyshare camera software. One for youtube and one for facebook. No where in your easy and fun software can I find a way to edit the video to the file size these 2 websites require. What can I do?

(12:03:24 PM)[An agent will be with you shortly.]

    (12:03:45 PM)[You are now chatting with Benjamin G .]
Benjamin G (12:03:52 PM): Welcome to Kodak, my name is Benjamin. Please wait while I review your question so that I could assist you properly.

Benjamin G (12:06:06 PM): Hi Owner. Good afternoon. I understand your concern. Let me see what I can do. Before I go with your concern, I just need to document some information. Can I have the model of your camera and the serial number as well? It is located at the bottom and starts with the letter “K.”

    Owner (12:07:10 PM): CD82..KCGMC93866188

Benjamin G (12:07:36 PM): Thank you. What is the version of your Kodak EasyShare Software?

    Owner (12:08:23 PM): 8.0.0.43

Benjamin G (12:10:24 PM): Thank you.

Benjamin G (12:10:33 PM): Are you using a Windows XP, Vista or a Macintosh computer?
    Owner (12:10:40 PM): XP

Benjamin G (12:11:00 PM): I need to get some information regarding your computer. Please click on the Start button on the lower left portion of your screen. Highlight “My Computer” then right click using your mouse. Try to scroll down and look for the “Properties” option. A System Properties window will show up, click on the General tab, please give me the information under SYSTEM and COMPUTER. Also, what is the brand of your computer?

Owner (12:12:07 PM): NO That has nothing to do with my question.

Owner (12:13:18 PM): Do u have a answer or not?

Owner (12:13:49 PM): My hardware has nothing to with weather your software can edit video to a websites requirements

Benjamin G (12:14:57 PM): There is no feature in the software that you can edit the file size of the video when uploading them to YouTube or Facebook.

Owner (12:15:46 PM): That’s what I said. I asked what can I do with the video shot on a Kodak camera to edit down to the requirements.

Owner (12:16:25 PM): I mean why put the links to youtube and Facebook to upload vid . If your software cant handle it.
Benjamin G (12:16:46 PM): I suggest that you use a third party software that can reduce the file size of the video you are trying to upload.

Owner (12:17:22 PM): I do believe a nice review is in order for my new Kodak camera and it’s software. Thank you

Wow. I must have gotten the bum camera out of the bunch. Our camera has yet to take a really good photo and we’ve had it for a month. All of our indoor pictures have been dark and grainy. Definitely not what I would expect out of a 12 MP camera!

  • pete

the file the camera makes has the date embedded into it. when you open the file properties, you will see much information about the file, the camera and the settings when the picture was taken.

I've had this camera for a couple of months, and I absolutely hate it. Although it does take very nice photos, I can only take those nice photos when it decides to turn on. I've tried new batteries and memory cards but the camera only turns on when it wants to. I hate this camera.

I bought this camera for my granddaughter. She has taken 10 pictures on it, which looked fine, but now all there is is a black screen and when you take a picture it black. I wish I done some researching before I bought it. I would like to send it back to Kodak so they can be the ones to dispose of it.
What a dissappointment. My first digital camera was a Easy Share DX6340 and it kept working even after I dropped it on the sidewalk.

i got this camera for christmas and used it 1 time and now it wont turn on?

I recieved this camera for my birthday. What a disappointment it has been to me. I am having the exact same trouble as Ashley's, Paula's and Guest's. I am going to try to take it back to Wal-mart. It was never dropped or abused and I have only been able to get 6 pictures from it. Very poor product and doesn't say much for the brand.
