Black Friday is a wonderful day for those looking to secure a special buy, and that’s just what Staples are offering with their Black Friday 2009 sales. The emachines E211H 21.5-inch LCD monitor has been giving the holiday discount treatment.

The E211H monitor normally retails at $179.98 on Staples, and Amazon has it listed for $159.99 on Black Friday, but if you visit this page on Staples you will see the eMachines E211H priced at $89.98 after savings. You even get free delivery.

This eMachines monitor features a built in speaker, brightness at 300cd/m2, inputs for VGA and DVI, a response time of 5ms, 20000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and a 1920×1080 resolution on the 21.5-inch Active Matrix TFT widescreen LCD.

Not a bad Black Friday deal at all, for the small price. Let us know what you think in the comments.

I got mine today (Black Friday 11/27) and it’s awesome! my old one is 17″ and 21.5 its unbelievably bigger!!! Not mentioning the resolution 1920×1080.

Just finished hooking this up. Not a bad monitor at all for under 100.00. Very surprised that I was able to even get this. I did not show up to Staples until after 9am.

Only problem so far I found was that there is no driver for this at the eMachine web site. XP sees it fine as a Plug and Play so it is not like one is needed.

Correction to my last comment, there is a driver…

    At Gateway’s site!

Was able to nab one, got it home hooked it up works great. Going from a 15inch flat to a 21.5 is awesome. Went to give my son my old one but it wont work. Oh well my new one does.

    Hi,
I am trying to fix the resolution for the E211H Monitor. I got the driver downloaded from the gateway website but it is not clear how to install it. I am having a folder with two files ICC and ini ….. what to do with that … No Clue..

  • John J

To install the driver right click anywhere on the desktop. Click on properties then settings then advanced. You will see a tab labeled monitor. Click on monitor properties then on driver. Update the driver and when Windows asks if you want to locate the file on the Internet, click not this time. Click on install from a specific location then browse to the folder that has the .ini file. Then click OK. Windows will do the rest.

this monitor is freaking incredible for the price. heck, it’s just incredible, period. i am enjoying the heck out of it, watching full 1080p hdtv, editing video and pics, and it’s completely recognized, no prob, in mac, linux and windows. my only wish is that i had the brains to have gone back and bought another one while they were still there…

Wow, it’s January 18, and I called up Staples and got one for $100. I called the first one, they said they had 2 left, and I went and there were none there… I WAS PISSED LOl. Then I called another they said they had 11 in stock! Wow, I went and got one. They had them behind the counter and didn’t even have them on display since it was an old sale item that amazingly didn’t sell! Definitely buy if you want a great 1080p monitor. I just ordered a DVI to HDMI converter online so I can hook up my PS3 to it through HDMI at 1080p. The box says the monitor supports HDCP which is what is needed for HDMI compatability.

This monitor is made by Acer and labeled emachine. I got one and love it and if I can find another one at a local Staples I will get another one. Great value

No DVI input on the one I just got at Staples.
