Windows Mobile 6.5.3: Native Keyboard Upgrade
Filed under: Cell Phones, Phone Software

It is no secret that the current native keyboard on cell phones running Windows Mobile 6.5 is not that good, but there are rumors that update 6.5.3 will see an improvement to this keyboard layout. Microsoft knows that they have done a bad job on this one, and have made a number of hints suggesting an improvement.
If you head over to pocketnow.com you will see an image of what the new keyboard will look like, this was in the 28002 build of Windows 6.5. We have to thank the guys over at ZDA for the scoop on this. The website also notes that the build is a DDL file, this means that the keyboard could even be customized.
The problem with the current keyboard layout is that it is not finger friendly; Microsoft must have been studying how HTC and OEM do things, as the upcoming update is a vast improvement. We only hope that the update comes sooner rather than later.
Windows Mobile 6.5 has been having a hard time of late; there are a number of reasons for this. The main reason is because the handset recently launched is not making full use of the mobile operating systems features. The other reason is that more handsets are making the move over to Google Android.
