MSI X-Slim 430 gets Athlon Neo X2 CPU and Windows 7
Filed under: Computers, Laptops

There seems to be no stopping MSI at the moment and that is evident with its latest offering, the MSI X-Slim 430. It has been a while since they launched a new notebook as they have had their mind on other things, but looking at the specs, it was certainly worth the wait.
The first thing that we need to tell you is its processor, the X-Slim 430 makes use of the Athlon Neo X2 CPU, this is the second-generation CPU from AMD’s ultrathin range. This works well with MSI’s own ECO engine and add Windows 7 into the mix, and you get a fast performing machine.
The great feature with the ECO engine is how it manages power usage depending on what applications you are running. There are other features that also need a mention, such as its ATI Mobility Radeon HD3200 GPU, 2GB of RAM and its Blu-ray drive.
The small notebook also boasts Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi, HDMI port, and a 1.3-megapixel camera. No pricing details or release date have been offered yet, but we would assume that it will be in the early part of 2010, maybe even January.
