HTC HD2 review and video hands-on: Battery life, camera, and more

Microsoft launched Windows Mobile 6.5 not that long ago, but this mobile OS has been overshadowed by the recent launch of Google Android 2.0 OS. There were a number of factors, but the main reason was the lack of new smartphones coming to the market with Windows 6.5 in mind. However, that has all changed with HTC HD2.

This is the first handset to be launched that can truly show off the abilities of Windows Mobile 6.5, thanks to its 1GHz Snapdragon CPU. Other features that are important to point out are its 4.3-inch capacitive WVGA touchscreen and its more than generous 5-megapixel camera.

When we said that this new handset gets to show off how good Windows Mobile 6.5 is, that was not entirely true, its Sense UI has put its arms out and totally covered it, as if it did not even exist. The HTC HD2 is not just about its software or its hardware; it is about a marriage between the two.

Engadget has managed to spend some tine with the latest smartphone, their hands-on review breaks it down into different parts of the phone, such as Hardware, Internals, Display, Camera, Speaker / earpiece, Software, Battery life and their final thoughts.

The review goes into great detail and makes for a great read, visit Engadget to read their review. You can also view a video of the handset below.
