Walmart black friday sales at the flick of a computer switch
By: Peter Chubb | November 25, 2009 | Leave a CommentWalmart recently announced that on Thanksgiving Day, they will offer to its customers 50 new deals on their website, all with huge discounts. The Telegraph wonders why anyone would want to queue up for hours in the early hours of November 27, Black Friday, when they can get better deals at the flick of a computer switch.
To give you an idea of just how good these deals will be, a 42-inch Sanyo HDTV will cost just $600, there are even deals on digital cameras for less than $60. Our advice, ditch the long queues and stay in the comfort of your own home, it is both warmer and less stressful.
Wal-Mart are not the only retailer to offer Pre-Black Friday sales, Target have also been running some amazing early deals in the hope of easing customers into the upcoming frenzy of Black Friday. We have mentioned in a number of posts that some retailers even began offering Pre-Black Friday deals way back in October.
There are a number of reasons for this, the biggest being that retailers need to shift their stocks. There have been a growing pattern that less and less deals are being offered in store each year, many online retail sites are now turning to Cyber Monday. This is the day when the retail industry offers the best deals online; these deals often see bigger reduction than you see in store on Black Friday.
According to a recent report from the National Retail Federation, they expect 9 out of 10 retailers to offer some sort of deals on Cyber Monday on their websites, an increase of 84 percent from last year. This yearly event is getting more popular and it is easy to see why, Internet shopping is much easier and you have more time to shop around for the bargains.
