TiVo Vs Sky+: TiVo release on Virgin Media coming
By: Alan Ng | November 25, 2009 | 1 CommentIt has just been announced that TiVo – the popular DVR unit, will be heading once again to the UK, after a new deal has been secured with Virgin Media. It means that the US-based TiVo service will now go head-to-head with Sky+ with both offering similar features.
As reported from Pocket-Lint, Tom Rogers, President and CEO of TiVo revealed the news during a recent earnings meeting. The partnership will see TiVo’s recording and slick interface features combine with the existing television service that Virgin Media offers to around 4 million customers in the UK.
Like Sky Plus, TiVo’s service will be handled via High Definition, with a release coming sometime next year. Let us know your thoughts on this.
