2009 Black Friday ads, stores we’re waiting for

We are now just two days away from the start of the holiday shopping season, Black Friday 2009 and there are a number of retailers who have yet to release their ads. Target was one of them, but they have just recently officially released their Black Friday 2009 Ad.

At a quick glance, those who have yet to release their ads are Bed Bath and Beyond, Dell, Fry’s, Sam’s Club to name but a few. We have to wonder what the hold up is, consumers will want to know what deals are up for offer long before they get up early on November 27.

Talking of Dell, although they have not launched their BF Ad just yet, they currently have a number of Pre-Black Friday deals going on. In our recent post, we discussed that these deals were centered on video games and console bundles.

These retailers need to get their act together, as tomorrow is Thanksgiving; this is the day when shoppers look on the Internet to see what deals they want to queue up hours for.

Please let us know what stores you are waiting on to release their Black Friday Ads.

  1. Drew Vallas says:

One thing you have to say about Fry’s is that they have never had an ad leaked for public consumption.

This means either (a) a scary hoard of lawyers that have prevented BF sites from posting what they know; (b) intense message security (after all, their ads appear only in one local paper); or (c) they wait until everyone else’s ads have been revealed, and then turn theirs up to 11.

Regardless, that’s where I’m headed Friday AM.
