Nokia N900: Detailed Review and Hands-on photos
Filed under: Cell Phone Information, Cell Phones

Now that the Nokia N900 smartphone is finally starting to make its way to customers, the reviews are starting to pour in fast. We have picked out a detailed one to show you now, which also includes a gallery of hands-on photos and some sample shots using the 5 megapixel camera.
The review comes to us courtesy of Pocket-Lint, who have given us their thoughts on the Maemo 5 powered device.
They have based their review on a pre-production model that they had and have scored their review 8/10. They mention the great multi-tasking features that the phone is capable of, while they were also impressed with the sheer amount of media formats and tv-out features available.
However, they do state that taking pictures and videos in low-light conditions is not all that great and the shutter lag on the 5MP camera is noticable. Battery life is also a weakness, but this may be addressed in a new firmware update.
An interesting review to read, a good unbiased opinion we thought. Check out the full review and hands-on photos over at Pocket-Lint.

I for one am very excited about this device. Honestly, pocket-lint lost some credibility with me for testing a pre-production device without the firmware that the devices are shipping with. All of the users that I’ve talked to with actual production versions are loving their devices.
