Modern Warfare 2 and Xbox Live Party Chat

One of the best features that the Xbox 360 has had that the PS3 lacks is private chat during games. While this may be coming soon, cross game chat and private chats is a valuable feature for online gaming.

So its obvious that this would of upset a few Xbox 360 users when it was taken from them in Modern Warfare 2. Loads of people are playing Call of Duty MW2, but the annoyance of not being able to talk in private Xbox Live parties during certain game modes, is one that’s creating complaints.

According to analoghype.com, Infinity Ward has been listening to the feedback from Xbox 360 MW2 players. They say Robert Bowling – Infinity Ward community manager – has it on “good authority” that this blocking of party chats, will soon be abolished.

Although this should be treated as just a rumor for now, what are your thoughts on this, and has it affected you?

YES!!! Remove the block. So many little 5-12year olds talking nonsense and not helping a bit in winning the game. Can’t wait to get back into party chats. That was the idea of party chats, so I can talk with the people I am playing in a group and ignore other people’s yelling. In a big game, two groups do not have to talk with friends and have everyone hear and be annoyed.
