Apple iPhone Worm: How to Find and Remove
Filed under: Cell Phones, Phone Software

A few weeks ago, we mentioned about the Ikee worm affecting Apple iPhone’s in Australia. However there are a number of other worms attacking jailbroken iPhone’s. Those who have been affected by a worm are more than likely looking at an image of Rick Astley.
This particular worm gets into your personal information and then compromising it, but how do you know what worm you have and how do you go about removing it. These are the two questions that PC World aims to answer for you.
There are three worms that PC World knows of, Ikee, iPhone/Privacy.A and the third worm currently has no name. If you have a wallpaper image of the 80’s pop star, then you are infected with Ikee, iPhone/Privacy.A has a good dig around your personal data and the third unnamed worm copies all your data and then redirects online customers of a Dutch bank to a fake phishing Web site.
Help is at hand as there is a fix for the two named worms but not the third. Removing Ikee is said to be the easiest, with iPhone/Privacy.A being a bit more difficult. For full details in how to remove these worms from your Apple iPhone, visit PC World.
There is an easier way to not get infected by a worm in the first place, do not try to jailbreak your iPhone.
