Sony Ericsson Kurara: A Brief Review

Sony Ericsson Kurara: A Brief Review

By: Jamie Pert | November 23, 2009 | 2 Comments

The first time we mentioned the Sony Ericsson Kurara was last week, at the time of last weeks article things were looking promising for this handset, however following a brief review from SlashGear the phone may be a disappointment.

When we heard that the handset would feature a Cortex A8 processor with the 256MB of RAM and a PowerVR graphics processor we were very happy, this would allow the handset to record video at 720p, one disappointment for me was that the handset would run Symbian S60.

It seems that pricing will be a key factor in this handset success, according to SlashGear’s article if the handset sells for around $450 it may do well, however if priced nearer $600 it will not succeed.

SlashGear feel that the handset really doesn’t shine in any area apart from its 720p video recording capabilities, the still photos the 8.1 megapixel camera offers are said to be sub-standard and the battery life is said to be lacking, all in all it just sounds very average in almost every aspect.

To find out more information check out SlashGear’s article, as we hear definite details regarding a release date and pricing we will keep you informed.
