Pentax K2000 DSLR: Detailed Review
By: Jamie Pert | November 23, 2009 | Leave a CommentIf you have been looking to buy a DSLR lately you may have considered purchasing the Pentax K2000, MacWorld have recently reviewed the camera, and although it is pretty impressive it also falls short in a few areas too.
At first inspection you would think that the camera would almost definitely be a hit, it features a 10.2 megapixel sensor and comes with two different lenses, one of these lenses is an 18mm to 55mm lens and the other is a 50mm to 200mm lens.
In terms of color accuracy, exposure quality, and overall image quality the camera is great and outperforms many competitive DSLR’s, also the camera takes very sharp-looking images.
Some of the criticisms which MacWorld pointed out included slower performance than the manual claimed in its burst-shooting mode, also the focus was a little slow when compared to comparable devices.
All in all the camera seemed pretty good, however in my opinion when buying a DSLR of this standard you do now want a camera which offers no video-recording, along with limited control over autofocus, for full details check out MacWorld.
