Palm Pre: webOS Update Coming Soon

A recent article posted on RegHardware seems to believe that Palm will soon be releasing a new update for their Palm Pre handset, this update should be released in a few days.

The update will update your handset from webOS 1.1.3 to 1.3.1, it is thought that many European Palm Pre’s will automatically update to this latest version when they either have 3G connectivity or are connected to WiFi.

It seems that the webOS 1.3.1 update was released in North America earlier this month, chances are this was to test the stability of the update, the fact that the OS is being rolled out further afield suggests that Palm are very happy with the update.

The update is said to consist of improvements to the handsets email and messaging functionality, there are also said to be “more options for using your Palm Pre in corporate EAS environments”.
