Camangi WebStation (Android UMPC): Coming Soon

We have just heard that Camangi’s WebStation should be released sometime in December, this news emerged following Camangi stating that the device was now fully functional.

The WebStation features a 7 inch display and is powered by a Marvell 624MHz PXA303, the device itself runs Google’ Android OS and has WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity as standard, the device also features a USB port which may allow you to connect a 3G dongle to the WebStation.

The device is said to offer around 4-5 hours of battery life, however I would imagine that this will vastly suffer when connected via WiFi.

There is also a demo video showing off the device, the user interface does seem extremely responsive and the video playback seems smooth, also the web browser seems pretty good too, personally however I don’t like the look of the soft keyboard.

It is thought that the device will sell at around $399 when it is released, as we hear a definite release date we will keep you informed, for more information check out SlashGear and be sure to check out the video below.

Would you consider buying this device? Or would you just use a smartphone which offers similar functionality?
