Audi R10: R8 Successor with 600hp twin-turbo engine
Filed under: Autos

Auto Express News has it on good authority that Audi are all ready making plans for its R8 successor, the Audi R10. The new supercar will come with a V10 600hp twin-turbo engine, unlike the non-turbo version of the current R8, although it has recently seen an engine upgrade.
The new R10 will be special in the way that it will share the same chassis as the Lamborghini Murciélago replacement. If you head over to Auto Express News, you will see what one designer thinks the new vehicle will look like.
The Audi R10 could have a sculpted body, even sexier than the R8. The car will also come with a mid-engine layout and a two-seat configuration. Audi will combine its aluminum spaceframe chassis technology with carbon fiber; this not only helps keep the weight down, but also offers superior strength.
That engine we spoke about above, you know the 5.0-liter V10 that will push out 600hp, it will propel you from standstill to 60mph in little over three seconds. That is seriously fast and makes it faster than most Porsche’s and Ferrari’s.

No way a twin turbo v10 is only doing 600hp. Its already making well over 500 without the turbos.
