Apple launching iPhone ads: Joins fight with Verizon and AT&T
Filed under: Cell Phone Information, Cell Phones

Over the past few weeks, we have been hearing about the constant battle between AT&T and Verizon over TV ads. It seems that Verizon have been attacking AT&T over its lack of 3G coverage, something that AT&T were not too happy about.
AT&T who has the sole exclusivity for the Apple iPhone hit Verizon with a lawsuit to try and ban the ads, but they failed in their attempt, as the courts did not side with them. Since then AT&T have launched an ad of their own, there attempt to attack Verizon failed as the TV ad looked rushed.
Now Apple thought they would weigh-in on the action and launch two new iPhone ads, which we have for you below, thanks to Business Week. The latest ads from Apple wish to show off the simultaneous voice and data connection features of the samrtphone.
The first ad shows what would happen if you were in the middle of a call and wanted to take a look at an email at the same time. While the second shows when you are talking to a friend and wanted to send them directions to the movie theater.
Although these ads have nothing to do with the constant battle between AT&T and Verizon, Business Week can’t help but see this as a slight dig at Verizon. The ads can be seen during commercial breaks on ABC and CBS.

Funny that… AT&T CANNOT do Simultaneous Voice and Data either for most of the country… When on GSM/EDGE you can either do data or voice… A voice call comes in Data is dropped
I yet to see how this ad helps? Apple must be clueless as AT&T’s coverage for 3G is still abysmal… They need to shut up – address coverage then try again… Verizon sucks but they have a valid point – why is their 3G coverage so far behind the curve. Even T-Mobile has been catching up to AT&T in some markets I’ve been to.
