Apple iTablet: Embargo Broken by Beta Tester

By: Peter Chubb | November 23, 2009 | Leave a Comment

According to an article in the Huffington Post, a beta tester for the Apple iTablet was given 24 hours to spend with the tablet PC. If this is true, then Apple will not be happy that the beta tester broke its embargo. However, we do not care as we get to learn the first impressions of the device.

According to the article, the Apple Table PC is more like an oversized iPhone rather than a smaller MacBook. The operating system will use a mixture of both gestures and speech, also a lot like the iPhone but in a much more advanced way.

The upcoming Apple iTablet will be a whole lot more than an e-book reader and media player; there will also be two cameras and also a cell phone function. That last bit seems hard to be believed, but would make perfect sense. How good would it be to read a document and then set up a call to discuss all the details by the use of hands-free calling?

After reading a bit further into the post we begin to wonder if there is in fact any truth in it. The first part of the post is all plausible and have heard some of the rumors before, but lower down the post is when things go a little stupid.
