1TB Colossus SSD Now Available: $3,000 for the Privilege

We mentioned in a recent post that a 1TB Colossus SSD was about to be released, we can now inform you that this Solid State Drive has now been made available. There is one problem however, its huge $3,000 price tag.

We are not sure how many people will want to pay that much for the privilege, as it will make it more expensive than the computer that it goes in. OCZ Technology is the company who has made this device possible, but have they done enough market research to know that there are buyers out there.

There is a choice of four SSD drives in the Colossus Series; these are the 120GB, 250GB, 500GB and the 1TB models. Prices start from $550 and go up to the expensive $3000, but according to PC World is the first SSD to offer a 1TB storage capacity.

There has to be someone out there who will want the latest SSD, because of its fast read and write speeds. For the full specs, visit www.ocztechnology.com
