Unlocked Nokia N900 on Amazon: Now $480

The retail price for an unlocked Nokia N900 is $649, but this soon to release handset will sell on Amazon for just $480. The online store has reduced the N900 to $530, once you take off another $50 for a mail-in rebate; you are left with the $480 price tag.

We mentioned in a recent post that the Nokia N900 is already available in the U.S., but there have been long delays in Europe. It is hoped that the handset will start shipping sometime in December, but this could change once we get closer to the date.

We are not certain how many people will take up the offer of an unlocked Nokia N900, although some of you do not want to be tied to a certain network. The new handset/portable tablet is powered by an ARM Cortex-A8 processor, which worked perfectly with the newly released Maemo OS.

The N900 also comes with a 5-megapixel camera, making it much better than the camera on the iPhone. 32GB of flash storage comes as standard, this is more than enough to store your videos, music and movies on.
