Filed under: Cell Phone Information, Cell Phones

We are finally hearing details regarding the Verizon release of the impressive Samsung Omnia II handset, according to reports it should debut on the carrier December 2nd.
The handset boasts a mix of extremely impressive specifications with a couple of disappointments, impressive features include the handsets 3.7 inch AMOLED display which displays a resolution of 480×800, also the handset’s 800MHz processor and usage of the TouchWiz 2.0 UI makes using the handset an enjoyable experience.
There are two main areas where the handset falls short, one of these areas is related to the fact it uses a resistive touchscreen display instead of a capacitive touchscreen display, also the fact the handset will come with Windows Mobile 6.1 instead of 6.5 is a disappointment too.
It is thought that the handset will set you back $200 as part of a contract (this price takes into account a $100 mail-in rebate, for full details regarding the handset check out Gizmodo.
