Intel Cedarview Atom platform: Full Details

Details have recently emerged on SlashGear regarding one of Intel’s future Atom platforms, this platform is called the Cedarview platform and isn’t expected to debut until 2011.

The main attraction with this recently announced platform is that it will feature a DDR3-compatible memory controller, however it is thought that one limitation will be that only single-channel memory sticks will be supported.

The support for DDR3 memory will open up new possibilities for new netbooks and nettops and should be a real successor to the Pinetrail processors.
