Asus Eee Box EB1501 Nettop (Windows 7): Release Details & Pricing
Filed under: Computers, Desktops

Back in early October we introduced you to the ASUS EeeBox EB1501 Nettop, at the time of that article we were unsure of an exact release date, however we knew that it was launching pretty soon.
We have now heard that the EB1501 will be available from December 7th and is expected to retail at around $479, which is cheaper than we first thought.
Some of the main specifications worth mentioning include a slot-loading DVD drive, an Intel Atom N330 dual-core processor, Intel Ion graphics, HDMI outpt (at 1080p), VGA out, built-in WiFi and Windows 7 Home Premium.
Currently we are unsure exactly how much RAM and what capacity hard drive you will get for $479, chances are this pricing will be the base model with the option of upgrades.
For full details check out HotHardware and our previous article.

“We have now heard that the EB1501 will be available from December 7th”
I heard that it was October 22nd.. then I heard it was November 20th.. now you have ‘heard’ it to be 7th December. I heard some people say it is available in the UK. I heard some people say they bought it already….. Would you like to elaborate where YOU heard this latest information?
Cheers
Well I sourced my information from HotHardware, on their article it states “Official launch with immediate availability: Dec 7″, therefore if their sources are reliable it should be available on that date. However you can never say 100 percent as unforeseen issues sometimes occur. I would say that there is about a 90% chance that this date is correct, as I find out any information which confirms/refutes these claims I will keep you informed.
