AOL detail 2,500 job cuts, worse timing for staff

Sadly, we have more job cuts to announce now as AOL has confirmed that they will be cutting the jobs for around 2,500 staff. It couldn’t of come at the worst time with the holiday season upon us.

As reported from Pocket-Lint, the job cuts will see AOL reduce its total workforce by a third, with the company planning to hand out redundancies for both involuntary and voluntary staff members.

The reason for so many job cuts? Well, AOL states that they intend to cut annual operating costs by around $300 million – with the job cuts the first step in achieving this.
