TELUS sues Rogers: Carrier wars continue
By: Alan Ng | November 19, 2009 | Leave a CommentWhile Verizon and AT&T are currently slugging it out over recent data-related commericals, it has been reported that TELUS and Rogers are now at war, after TELUS filed a law suit against their rivals.
As reported from BGR, the action is due to Roger’s claim that they are the ‘most reliable network’ in Canada. Rogers also claims that they are ‘two times faster than any other network’, so TELUS are looking to put a stop to this it seems.
It turns out that TELUS had asked Rogers to remove their claims about reliability and speed, after TELUS launched their 21Mbps HSPA service, but Rogers did not back down – starting off the legal proceedings.
It is also worth pointing out that while Bell shares it’s network with TELUS, they are not connected to the lawsuit in any way. We’ll keep you updated on this as it progresses.
