Sony Playstation Network: Online gaming remains free – Hirai
By: Alan Ng | November 19, 2009 | 2 CommentsIn a recent business meeting, SCE boss Kaz Hirai has reassured PS3 owners that online gaming will remain ‘free’, although the company are planning to introduce various subscription avenues in exchange for premium content.
As reported from VG247, Hirai explained that changes will be coming in the ‘online area’ specifically, where a subsciption service will be available ‘along’ with the current free services.
As you would expect, no more details on this were revealed, so its a case of waiting to see what Sony have in the pipeline i guess.
But this ‘is’ good news don’t forget. PS3 online gaming remains free and Sony are not planning on changing that at the moment.
