Quanta Android Smartbook prototype: A Brief Look Video
By: Jamie Pert | November 19, 2009 | Leave a CommentA recent article posted on SlashGear give us our first look at Quanta’s Android Smartbook prototype, we were hoping for a bit of a hands-on video, however the video just shows the physical design of the Smartbook.
The video can be seen on SlashGear however it has also been embedded at the end of this post, the video only lasts 50 seconds and does not show any of the OS’s functionality.
The physical design of the smartbook looks quite similar to that of many netbooks, however it is extremely thin, the thinness is made possible by the fact that the smartbook uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipset.
One criticism that SlashGear made was regarding the smartbooks keyboard, the main problem seems to be that the thinness has caused the physical strength of the device to suffer, therefore whilst typing the keyboard bounces at bends.
