Lenovo ThinkPad X100e Details: Don’t call it a Netbook
By: Peter Chubb | November 19, 2009 | Leave a CommentBack at the beginning of the month we offered some information about the upcoming Lenovo ThinkPad X100e. We offered some release information, but the spec details were all speculation at that time. Now that we have had some time to digest all the information, Engadget has learned from netbooknews.de, the exact spec details.
The first thing that you need to know is, Lenovo do not like its ThinkPad X100e being called a netbook. They class this as an “entry ultraportable,” this means that it is small and light, sorry are we not talking about a netbook here.
The screen size is 11.6-inches, slighter larger than standard netbooks then. The device is powered by an AMD Athlon Neo processor and there is support for up to 4GB of RAM. Users even get the choice to upgrade up to 320GB hard drive. Other options include Bluetooth and GPS.
Our earlier post suggested a January 2010 release, but that was just speculation. There are still no exact release details, so we will just have to wait for now. The new Lenovo ThinkPad X100e comes in a choice of three colors, black, white or red.
