
Internet Explorer 9 (IE9): Better JavaScript performance – Microsoft
By: Alan Ng | November 19, 2009 | Leave a CommentMicrosoft has revealed that the next version of their Internet Explorer browser (IE9) will have better JavaScript performance than previous versions – as the company look to close the gap on the likes of Firefox and Google Chrome.
As reported from Computer World, Steven Sinofsky, who is Microsoft’s president of Windows and Windows Live also revealed that the team have a lot of work to do in terms of performance, when speaking at the recent Professional Developers Conference.
When speaking directly about JavaScript, he stated that they are getting ‘very close’ to the other browsers. I guess we’ll just have to wait until the early demo build of IE9 lands, to see if they really have caught up with the other browsers.
