Dell Inc. reports earnings, loses market share
By: Jamie Pert | November 19, 2009 | Leave a CommentIt seems that Dell Inc aren’t doing quite as well as they were a few years ago, not only are they now the third-largest personal computer manufacturer, but they also fell short of analysts estimates during the third quarter.
According to a recent article posted on Bloomberg Dell’s net income fell to $337 billion, this is said to equate 17 cents a share, apparently “Sales declined to $12.9 billion. Analysts surveyed by Bloomberg predicted profit of 27 cents and sales of $13.1 billion”.
Dell are currently third in the computer manufacturer market behind leaders HP and second place Acer, I’m sure this year will be hugely important for Dell as slipping lower than third could prove to be tragic.
