Verizon Vs AT&T: Verizon to release Palm Pre, Pixi in 2010 – More Rumors
Filed under: Cell Phone Information, Cell Phones

While this has been rumored for some time now, we have recently heard more reports that Verizon are planning to open their arms to Palm starting from early next year, with the aim of securing more subscribers than AT&T.
According to this article from Apple Insider, the new rumors have come courtesy of Shaw Wu, who is an analyst with Kaufman Bros. He believes that Verizon will offer webOS-enabled devices such as the Palm Pre and Palm Pixi as early as 1st quarter in 2010.
His reasons for this you ask? Well, he thinks that Android sales are on the decline, while Sprint’s exclusivity with Palm will come to an end this year – paving the way for carriers such as Verizon to jump on board.
We have already seen how aggressive Verizon can get with their Motorola Droid strategy, so is the Palm takeover the next big step in taking down AT&T subscriber gains?
