Modern Warfare 2: No online problems with UK broadband network
By: Peter Chubb | November 18, 2009 | 1 CommentWhen Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was released last week, it had been assumed that the UK’s broadband network would have come under a lot of strain. The good news is that the networks handled the strain of the popular game, more than we can say for the Modern Warfare 2 servers.
The sheer number of people all logging on at once to play the game online was mind numbing, but it says a lot for how far the UK broadband network has come since the previous game. There are a number of factors why this is; the most obvious is the faster broadband speeds available.
According to an article over on telappliant.com, these faster broadband services have allowed for better connections for people to play against each other. The faster service even makes it much easier and quicker to find an online match and then join the game.
Before the game was released it was surrounding in controversy, this was due to the nature of the story line when playing a mission on your own. You play an undercover agent who has to infiltrate a terrorist cell; you will even have to kill civilians in order to complete your mission.
Do you think the game is in bad taste?
