Dell’s Environmentally-Friendly Mini 10 Packaging

These days environmentally friendly products are getting more and more popular, therefore Dell’s decision to revamp their Dell Mini 10 packaging may prove to set a trend for other device manufacturers.

One pretty unique thing about this latest packaging is that it will use bamboo-based packing instead of paper, foam and corrugated packaging.

Dell’s main reason for using bamboo is because it is said to grow extremely fast, therefore using the product should not cause a shortage.

Dell were also keen to mention that the bamboo they are using is from China, however not from the pandas habitat. Check out SlashGear for more information.

Do you think other laptop/netbook manufacturers should produce more environmentally friendly packaging?
